First off, Wiz Khalifa’s new CD, ‘Deal Or No Deal’, dropped today. Definitely give it a listen. You can hear samples and download the whole album for only $6.99 on Amazon – pretty good price. Here’s the cover:
Check out these free mixtapes released in the last week by Young Money artists Lil Twist & Tyga. Twist is only 16, but he has some good lines; he is probably the best in his age class… the class president even. And Tyga is notorious for solid mixtapes:
[Featured artists: Tyga, Gudda Gudda, Jae Millz, The New Boyz, Birdman, Soulja Boy, Yung Joc, Young Dro, Bow Wow, Nicki Minaj, Short Dawg, Trai'D, Lil JJ & Young Durty]
[Featured artists: Lloyd & Gudda Gudda]
Check out some Italian research going into a garbage robot. This thing is actually out on the streets:
‘Trash robots are being seriously considered as a viable alternative to huge, inefficient garbage trucks that often can’t fit down narrow Italian streets’ (Gajitz).
Unrelated to this project I also saw a concept for garbage powered streetlights:
‘Doubling as a trash bin, the lamppost then uses the methane, a byproduct of trash, as a fuel to power the lamps’ (I New Idea).
I had seen videos of ‘BigDog‘ before, but Boston Dynamics new robot is pretty crazy. Meet ‘PETMAN‘:
Here’s the original ‘BigDog’ Video:
Kidd Kidd has been dropping some quality songs for a while now, and I thought he might be a little more popular by now; I feel like he hasn’t been getting the credit he deserves. I mean, he was on one of the best tracks on Lil Wayne’s ‘Tha Carter 3′:
Lil Wayne feat. Bobby Valentino & Kidd Kidd – Mrs. Officer
And I know you’ve heard ‘Best I Ever Had’ by Drake. Well, there has been some controversy with Kia Shine claiming 25% publishing. I don’t know about that, but Drake does admit to taking a line from a Lil Wayne song that Kia Shine produced in that same article. That song? ‘Real Shit‘ by Kidd Kidd and Lil Wayne (Wayne says, “We can do it real big, bigger than you ever done it. Everything you every wanted… I can spend whatever on it,” at about 0:30):
Lil Wayne feat. Kidd Kidd – Real Shit
Finally, Kidd Kidd is also in the original (and better) version of ‘Forever’ with Drake, Lil Wayne, Kanye West & Eminem. The original version is only with Drake and Lil Wayne though:
Lil Wayne feat. Drake & Kidd Kidd – I Want Dis 4 Eva
So check out Kidd Kidd’s new mixtape, ‘New Kid On The Block’. I think he sounds kind of like BG and Juvenile combined?:

***Bonus No DJ Top Tracks:
Drake feat. Lil Wayne & Kidd Kidd – Stunt Hard
Kidd Kidd feat. Lil Wayne – Mazant
There have finally been some decent songs coming out recently after a little bit of a drought. Here are 3 quality mixtapes from 3 different artists. Wayne is back in a big way – punchline after punchline! I still think 50 is on his way back up reminiscent of ‘Get Rich or Die Trying’. And Mike Posner brings his own style to the mix… you gotta like Kid Cudi, Big Sean & Saigon on tracks with him too.

Lil Wayne – No Ceilings (mixtape)
[Featured Artists: Tyga, Jae Millz, Gudda Gudda, Short Dawg, Shanell & Lucci Lou]

50 Cent – Before I Self Destruct (mixtape)
[Featured Artists: Eminem]

Mike Posner – One Foot Out The Door (mixtape)
[Featured Artists: Kid Cudi, Big Sean, Saigon, Clinton Sparks, Bun B, GLC, XV & Freddie Gibbs]
**Bonus: Here’s a making of ‘No Ceilings’ video:
Young Future’s ‘I Am Him’ mixtape just dropped recently. I posted his mixtape versus Drake here, which is legit. This tape doesn’t disappoint. Here are my top tracks (look below the cover to get the whole album):
Future feat. Paul Snook – Into Ya Mind
Future feat. T-Plezya – Love In The Sky

I would strongly suggest checking the whole tape out – at least for the fact that our logo is on the back cover. Big thanks for that as well as a good mixtape, Future.
Look what Mickey Factz had to say about Future (Mickey was one of my artists to watch):
Here’s a song they did together:
I haven’t posted singles in a while, so I thought I might as well. Besides the first couple here, I think a lot of these songs will become pretty popular soon. I mean, I’m not a huge fan of Akon, but the beat on ‘New York City’ is legit. Birdman is still holding it down with a couple singles here. And Timbaland teaming up with Shakira and Lil Wayne? Hit. Also, watch out for Cory Gunz and Wiz Khalifa in the near future. :
Drake feat. Birdman – More Milli
Timbaland feat. Shakira & Lil Wayne – Give Up To Me
OJ Da Juiceman – When I Get Big
Birdman feat. Jay Sean, Flo-Rida & Mack Maine – Written On Her (remix)
Wale feat. Pharrell – Inhibitions
Which one has a better verse?
A video for the song ‘Wasted’ by Gucci Mane and Plies came out this week. I originally posted this song here back in April saying that I wanted to see a video with the 6′5” Gucci and 4′11” Plies, and it’s finally here! Click the link below the video for the mp3.
Gucci Mane feat. Plies – Wasted
This song has some good lines about getting wasted like ‘white boys’, but my favorite one has to be when Plies says ‘Woods on 3, Phil Knight on 4′.
